I call this a fruit tart cupcake, as it has a lovely, smooth pastry cream that can be found in the center. Paired with the whipped cream frosting and the fresh berries, it is sure to leave any fruit tart lover satisfied after any meal.
I chose to use fresh strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries for the top of my cupcakes, but really any fruits would taste amazing. For a tropical twist, try fruits like mango, pineapple and kiwi!
